1HOW DID YOU PICK THE NAME ''WORDSLINGERS?
"Wordslingers" is a term roughly defined as "Players with Words".  Author Stephen King often used the term to describe himself in his ''Dark Tower' series. Our business is generally based on the creative use of words.  We are indebted to the great writer!
2WHAT ARE THE SERVICES OFFERED BY WORDSLINGERS?
Our Main Services are Website Design and Development, Book Publishing and Social Media Management for selected clients. Not limited thereto, we also offer a range of writing, editing and publishing services including leaflets and information brochures, CV's, yearbooks, training manuals and ghost writing. We help you to play with words.
3WHAT IS THE WORDSLINGERS FEE FOR DESIGNING A WEBSITE?
Prices range from R6,500 to R20,000, depending on the scope of the website, how many images, how many pages, extras, and so on. We like to meet with individual clients to discuss their needs and agree on a price. We are not an agency, where clients are charged for 10 people doing the job of one person. We cut rates, we negotiate.
4DO YOU MAINTAIN SITES OR CAN YOUR CLIENTS DO IT THEMSELVES?
Yes, we do maintain websites for clients once they are built and launched, at an agreed fee. Alternatively, we give clients a basic crash course in WP content management so they can maintain their sites on their own. We are on standby to help, always.
5WHAT ARE YOUR FEES FOR SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT?
Again, let us stress that are prices are negotiable. We look at the scope of the project, what is needed, and come to mutually beneficial arrangements. Your're looking at anything from R2,500 (for a small business, per month, upwards). We want you to be happy doing business with us!
6WHY SHOULD WRITERS BRING THEIR MANUSCRIPTS TO WORDSLINGERS?
If you are an established writer with an existing publisher, chances are you will be happier with a better royalty deal and more control over your work. We offer up to 50% in net royalty fees, per book. Yes, that is not a misprint. The downside is that your book will be printed in the USA and will be more expensive in South Africa due to import costs. The upside: Far better royalties in foreign currency, immediate worldwide exposure via amazon.com and its worldwide affiliates, arranged by Wordslingers. If you are a new writer trying to break through, keep on trying, or cut your phone calls and your endless mails and just come to us!
7WHY DO YOU PRINT IN THE USA?
The costs of printing is cheaper in the United States, even at the present poor exchange rates. The Amazon print division can print ON DEMAND, which means it can print from a single (ONE) book to an infinite number. In South Africa we have a few printers who claim to provide 'ON DEMAND' services, but not for book publishing. They cannot compete. By using a US printer, we make book publishing possible for all authors, not just the big names or the well-connected.
